Coast Healthcare Management, Lakewood Regional Medical Center
and the City of Lakewood were honored at the Association of
California School Administrators (ASCA) annual awards dinner
Monday, April 30, 2012. ASCA awarded the Partners In Educational
Excellence Award for their Medical Outreach Program to
Bellflower Unified School District which is a partnership
between Mayfair High School, Coast Healthcare, Lakewood Regional
Medical Center and the City of Lakewood. The program
provides senior students and parents a greater understanding of
their healthcare through a series of Healthcare 101
presentations and introduces healthcare careers to 9th
grade students. In addition, students have the opportunity
to participate in a program at Lakewood Regional allowing them
to rotate through multiple departments in the hospital to
explore first hand the wide variety of healthcare career
opportunities available to them
